  1. In Thee alone, O Christ, my Lord,
    My hope on earth remaineth;
    I know Thou wilt Thine aid afford,
    Naught else my soul sustaineth.
    No strength of man, no earthly stay,
    Can help me in the evil day;
    Thou, only Thou, canst aid supply,
    To Thee I cry;
    On Thee I bid my heart rely.

  2. My sins, O Lord, against me rise,
    I mourn them with contrition;
    Grant, through Thy death and sacrifice,
    To me a full remission.
    Lord, show before the Father’s throne
    That Thou didst for my sins atone;
    So shall I from my load be freed.
    Thy Word I plead;
    Keep me, O Lord, each hour of need.

  3. O Lord, in mercy stay my heart
    On faith’s most sure foundation
    And to my inmost soul impart
    Thy perfect consolation.
    Fill all my life with love to Thee,
    Toward all men grant me charity;
    And at the last, when comes my end,
    Thy succor send.
    From Satan’s wiles my soul defend.

  4. Glory to God upon His throne,
    The Father, mercies sending,
    And Jesus Christ, His only Son,
    Us faithfully defending,
    And God the Holy Ghost, our Lord,
    Who ever doth His help afford
    That we to Him well-pleasing be
    In this our day
    And there too in eternity!

  1. Allein zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ,
    Mein Hoffnung steht auf Erden;
    Ich weiß, daß du mein Tröster bist,
    Kein Trost mag mir sonst werden.
    Von Anbeginn ist nichts erkorn,
    Auf Erden war kein Mensch geborn,
    Der mir aus Nöten helfen kann,
    Ich ruf dich an,
    Zu dem ich mein Vertrauen han.

  2. Mein Sünd sind schwer und übergroß
    Und reuen mich von Herzen,
    Derselben mach mich quitt und los
    Durch deinen Tod und Schmerzen
    Und zeig mich deinem Vater an,
    Daß du hast gnug für mich getan,
    So werd ich quitt der Sündenlast.
    Herr, halt mir fest,
    Wes du dich mir versprochen hast.

  3. Gib mir nach deinr Barmherzigkeit
    Den wahren Christenglauben,
    Auf daß ich deine Süßigkeit
    Möcht inniglichen schauen,
    Für allen Dingen lieben dich
    Und meinen Nächsten gleich als mich.
    Am letzten End dein Hilf mir send,
    Tu mir behend,
    Des Teufels List sich von mir wend.

  4. Ehr sei Gott in dem höchsten Thron,
    Dem Vater aller Güte,
    Und Jesu Christ, seim liebsten Sohn,
    Der uns allzeit behüte,
    Und Gott dem Heiligen Geiste,
    Der uns sein Hilf allzeit leiste,
    Damit wir ihm gefällig sein
    Hie in der Zeit
    Und folgend zu der Ewigkeit.
